I am excited. My daughter and her family will be staying with us for a fortnight starting tomorrow. I can imagine how it is to see Nate waking up every morning . He will turn seven months in a week so there are so many things that I really look forward to. He could eat solid food now so it must be a challenge to prepare fresh baby food that he’ll learn to like. I told my daughter not to let him be choosy with food when he grows up so this early, he should learn to appreciate mashed veggies.
Time flies, it seems like only yesterday that we used to visit him at the hospital when he was confined at the NICU for three weeks before they were able to bring him home. It was a nightmare seeing him with attached IV on his arms. This early, he is showing us how he could make us laugh with just a smile or showing us a new thing that he has learned. He has this habit of bowing his head too when he sees you bow your head and he touches his forehead with yours, some sort of Japanese greeting probably. And boy, he’d rather stand up and hold on to anything than sit still.
I think this was his first mall adventure. They celebrated Mother’s Day by bringing him along.
A typical Nate smile. When his dad is around, they play rough together and he loves it.
Nissa is quite careful when choosing baby toys. There are toxic products in the market which are sold cheaper than the branded ones but are not safe for babies to play with. And here’s a softer black and white version of Nate’s pic which I edited at Photobucket.
Can’t wait to see you baby. We’ll be together for a while and I’ll be your “yaya” for two weeks. Plenty of opportunity to take pictures, right?
