Nate is now taller than I am. He is just ten years old. Nissa took shots of them while Nate was learning to add soil to the pots of hydrangea which they bought earlier.

I miss you Nateππ₯°β€π§‘ππ

Yes, it was his 9th birthday yesterday but they celebrated early last Sunday because of his online classes. We had a video chat for a while yesterday then I sent him an audio greeting.
Here are some of his birthday photos:
Time flies! Was it only yeterday that I made my first letter to you!
Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE πβΊππβ€π§‘πππ¦π¦π¦π‘π¨π

Haha, I smiled when I saw this. Nate’s simple gift to Nissa on Valentine’s Day. LookΒ at the crude style those paper hearts were made….beautiful.Β It’s a note (again) saying she is an excellent cook and a rose. Sweet. Love it. This is not the first time he wrote toΒ Nissa. When we were at the hospital a few months ago, he also wrote the same thing that Nissa is #1 when it comes to cooking.
See you in a while Nate.

Nissa says, “parang bida sa sinaunang pelikula (a lead actor in an old film). I laughed but I love his smile. A typical Nate smile, bigay na bigay.
And here’s the colored version of this pic.

The wholeΒ month of August is a celebration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa where we give thoughts and importance to our own language, Wikang Pilipino. I should be blogging about this in Pilipino but I am not that good in writing one. Just hear me speak π
Welcoming the month with a smile although a little subdued at that. Guess what? He is missing two front teeth. The garb is definitely Pilipino.

I remember blogging about that photo fiveΒ years ago. How he has grown. Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers out there.
Look Daddy, I am big boy now, says Nate.
Yes, our little boy has grown up.

Nissa says, “finally, we have a graduate, sixteen more years to go”.Β
Sixteen years if of course a long time when you wait for it, but when you just let it pass and wouldn’t mind the passing days, in a blink, you’re done.
There were lots of photos in Nissa’s cameraΒ about the event but she is posting them in increments. These are those photos that stand out though. Since some of them are in high-res, I opted to post them here.
It is always a joy to see you with those big smiles Nate. Ang sipag at tiyaga mag-aral nagbubunga talaga. Nonna is so proud of you.

One of the amenities that Tree Top Adventure at Camp John Hay in Baguio offers is the Canopy Ride. Nate is a brave soul. He was not afraid to try everything. I had fun watching the video Nissa took when they were up in the air and Nate advising everyone to be careful or they might fall.Β Too bad, I cannot upload it here. The Canopy Ride is a travel- through- trees 100 feet above the ground using a network of five motorized cables. You can see nature from a different perspective. It must be nice to feel the relaxing cool breeze of Baguio and the scent of pines.
Next time, you might be on a zip line.

Can’t help but smile a little at these photos of Nate as Peter Pan for English Week. Peter Pan…the boy who refused to grow up.
Nissa made the hat. That’s real feather on his hat. She bought the costume. You make a “pogi” Peter Pan Nate π

Last night, Nissa sent me this photo of Nate’s awards for the first grading period of the school year. So happy to see that his efforts paid off.
He is number one in his class with an average grade of 96%. Nissa said that more than the academic excellence,Β she isΒ more happy about hisΒ Character Trait Awards – Batang Maasahan (a kid you can rely on), Joyful Thanksgiver,Β BusyΒ Bee.Β I could understand being a busy bee, he couldn’t stay in one place without looking for anything to do. As long as he is active, it’s okay.
Proud of you baby. it would surely be a nice celebration for us on Saturday and your awards are the best gifts for your Mommy who’ll be celebrating her birthday on Friday.
