They came here yesterday to celebrate New Year with us.
After lunch, Nate said, “can we go out at the garden Nonna?”
I asked him why and he added, “I want to pick kalamansi”. That’s Philippine lime.
I told him they are still so small so I showed our two jackfruits.
“Can we play instead?” . Then he began making faces and his signature sign which is thumbs up. He has grown so tall and a little more chubby since the last time they stayed here March last year. I took some photos of course..
It is always a thrill having Nate around. When will we see each other again?

Yes, it was his 9th birthday yesterday but they celebrated early last Sunday because of his online classes. We had a video chat for a while yesterday then I sent him an audio greeting.
Here are some of his birthday photos:
Time flies! Was it only yeterday that I made my first letter to you!
Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE πβΊππβ€π§‘πππ¦π¦π¦π‘π¨π

I took a lot of pictures of Nate when he and Obet were here last March while Nissa was in the hospital.

Back in the last week of March, my son-in-law Obet and Nate stayed with us for four days while Nissa was in the hospital, she was found positive of Covid and was confined for a week.
I took advantage of the days he was here, taking photos, watching him attend his online class, singing and whistling and playing with his toys.

Kids and students here are still in the online mode in their schooling.
So far Nate has done well for the last two quarters. They don’t have ranking in honors though this school year. I am sharing his grades here.
Just to summarize because the online photo is so small:
Christian Living and Character Education – 95
Mother Tongue – 95
Filipino – 96
English – 97
Mathematics – 98
Araling Panlipunan – 96
Conduct – A
So proud of this little guy. He is in grade 2 now.

Yes, we haven’t seen each other for ten months except through Messenger video chats until today. Another milestone in our lives seeing each other again.
No kisses except tights hugs and “I love you Nate” and “I love you Nonna” in between. He has grown so tall for an eight-year old.
Through the short time that they were here, we had lunch togetherΒ and Nate enjoyed playing with my revolving computer chair and he said that he liked it.Β Nissa didn’t bought him one at home because she knew he would playΒ with it.
I gave him a set of pajama and Word Factory. I told him to enjoy playing with her mom and dad. It is a good educational game from seven to adult.
NissaΒ and I took lots of pictures of course (for prosperity and remembrance).Β We will choose which one to upload later.
I guess I won’t need to cook later for Noche Buena, we still have untouched food inside the ref and I ordered two roasted chicken for later.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL.

That’s the smile I miss Nate. I do hope we could see each other soon. So glad to know you had a lovely birthday celebration.
This is the perfect time to explore more possibilities in life. Way to go. Keep up being a good, smart and talented kid. I miss you.

Haha, I smiled when I saw this. Nate’s simple gift to Nissa on Valentine’s Day. LookΒ at the crude style those paper hearts were made….beautiful.Β It’s a note (again) saying she is an excellent cook and a rose. Sweet. Love it. This is not the first time he wrote toΒ Nissa. When we were at the hospital a few months ago, he also wrote the same thing that Nissa is #1 when it comes to cooking.
See you in a while Nate.

Good thing, Josef stayed at home today finally fixing my PC which I could not boot earlier. When you’re not used to posting on a tab, you get confused and it is quite hard.
Took some pictures of Nate when they came over for Christmas lunch. We played at the garden with his water guns.

Here is his latest picture with his mom taken just yesterday. He has become a little chubby but I love how he looks now. He has even grown taller.
Haha, happy days are here again, I could finally post photos. Hopefully thisΒ PC would last longer.
